Anachronistic Geometry

Observation
Over-polished lugs · the original 1957 case geometry destroyed by aggressive secondary refinishing that re-radiused the profile beyond factory tolerance.
Anomaly
Anachronistic Seahorse logo applied to the caseback · medallion stamping style is post-1962 OEM production, not period-correct for a 1957 reference.

Chemical Manipulation

Observation
Original greenish luminescence chemically darkened to simulate natural tropical UV aging · presented at sale as sixty years of organic patina.
Anomaly
Patina uniform across the radial face with no shielded contrast zones · absent the asymmetric crystal-and-bezel shadowing that genuine UV exposure produces.

Stolen Component

Observation
Solid steel tachymeter bezel identified via micro-scratch patterns as stripped from a later Ref. 2915-2 reference previously auctioned in 2018 · cross-matched by SEM.
Anomaly
Bezel-to-case mating surfaces show evidence of secondary swap · seating tolerance off-corpus by 0.08 mm relative to the original 2915-1 case geometry.

Insider Forgery

Observation
Counterfeit escapement-wheel bridge bearing serial 15500066 grafted onto a later 25-million-serial movement · the registry on file at Omega's heritage archive was retroactively manipulated.
Anomaly
Three former employees implicated · including the Head of the Omega Museum & Brand Heritage. Collusion with brand heritage staff · the Extract from the Archives was an inside job.

The asset cleared the auction block because Phillips, Omega's heritage department and the buyer's research all accepted the same document · the Extract from the Archives. None of the four anomalies above were forensically tested before sale. The blind spot was not optical · it was structural. Institutions trusted their own registry, and the registry had been edited from the inside.
